Who The Hell Is... Luna Snow?

October 12, 2024

Introduced in Marvel's Future Fight game and quickly gaining traction in comics and mobile games, Luna Snow blends the world of pop stardom with superheroics, wielding the power of ice to freeze enemies in their tracks — or heal her allies when they need it most.

As a member of the Agents of Atlas and a rising star in the Marvel Universe, Luna Snow has become an inspiring figure for fans worldwide. But there's more to her than meets the eye — whether it's her K-pop superstar persona or her powerful control over light and dark ice, Luna Snow is a character you won't want to overlook.

Who Is Luna Snow?

Luna Snow made her first appearance in 2018 as part of Marvel's initiative to introduce new heroes specifically designed for mobile games like Marvel Future Fight, but it didn't take long for her to break out beyond gaming and make her mark in comics, especially with her role in the Agents of Atlas team.

Luna Snow's debut in Marvel Future Fight

Born in South Korea, Seol Hee originally pursued a career in music and became a K-pop sensation before fate intervened. During a charity concert, she was trapped in a terrorist attack that led to an explosion. Rather than succumbing to the danger, Seol Hee absorbed the energy from the explosion and awakened her powers of cryokinesis — the ability to create and manipulate ice.

As Luna, she juggles her dual identities: one as a global pop idol adored by millions, and the other as a superhero committed to protecting the world. Her ice powers are tied to her musical performances, and she uses her influence as a pop star to spread messages of hope and unity, all while fighting alongside heroes like Shang-Chi, Amadeus Cho, and Silk.

Luna Snow: A Hot Star with Cool Power

Since her debut, Luna Snow has captured the hearts of fans around the world, blending the glamour and excitement of a K-pop idol with the heroic duty of a Marvel superhero. She's not just a character of immense power, but also a symbol of perseverance and hope. Luna's journey from a music sensation to a superhero reflects the balance she maintains between her two worlds, and her story continues to evolve as she fights for a better future alongside her fellow heroes.

In Marvel Rivals, Luna's combination of healing and ice-based attacks makes her a versatile and indispensable ally. Whether you're playing her as a healer, damage-dealer, or both, Luna Snow's adaptability makes her a fun and engaging character to master. So the next time you're choosing a hero, remember — you can't go wrong with the pop star who can freeze enemies with her voice and save the day with her icy grace.

Luna Snow in Marvel Rivals: Balancing Power and Healing

In Marvel Rivals, Luna Snow's abilities revolve around her control over Light and Dark Ice, offering a mix of offensive power and healing. This balance between damage and support makes her a flexible character who can adapt to the needs of her team.

Luna Snow's Absolute Zero ability gives her a potent crowd control capability, allowing her to freeze enemies in place while restoring her own health. This makes Luna a formidable force in both offensive and defensive strategies — she can stop enemies from advancing while giving herself the healing she needs to keep fighting. This ability is particularly useful (and important to hold on to) for when Luna is dove on and focused by threats like Magik or Venom.

By attaching her Idol Aura to an ally via Share the Stage, Luna grants them a boost that allows them to also restore health when Luna is healing others. This synergistic ability is perfect for team play, giving Luna's allies an extra layer of healing that can make a big difference in longer, drawn-out battles, and is excellent to put on heroes you expect to be out of sightlines — flyers like Iron Man, or flankers such as Spider-Man and Black Panther are ideal targets to attach Idol Aura to.

When it's time to truly shine, Luna Snow takes center stage with her ultimate ability, Fate of Both Worlds. In this powerful move, Luna begins a dazzling performance, toggling between two distinct effects: healing her allies or granting them a Damage Boost. This flexibility allows Luna to adapt her performance based on her team's needs — she can either ensure her teammates survive longer by providing healing or empower them to deal more damage and overwhelm the enemy.

Similar to playing characters like Overwatch's Lucio, knowing when to switch active aura to maximize your impact is a vital part in fully utilizing Luna's ultimate.

With the right balance of healing and damage, Luna Snow can dominate the battlefield, keeping her team alive and empowered while freezing enemies in their tracks.
