Storm is a medium-difficulty duelist in Marvel Rivals, specializing in area-of-effect (AoE) damage, crowd control, and team utility. Her kit revolves around her ability to manipulate the weather, switching between Thunder Mode for increased damage and Tornado Mode for movement speed buffs and enemy slows. Storm excels at controlling the battlefield, empowering her teammates, and dealing consistent damage from mid-range. Her ultimate ability, Omega Hurricane, allows her to transform into a massive tornado that pulls enemies together while dealing heavy AoE damage, making her a game-changer in team fights.

Storm plays well in brawl-oriented team compositions where her buffs and AoE abilities shine. She pairs well with vanguards like Magneto who can protect her while she deals damage from above, and strategists like Mantis or Adam Warlock who can sustain her during prolonged engagements. However, Storm’s low health pool and vulnerability to hitscan heroes like Hela or Punisher make positioning and situational awareness critical to her success.

How to play Storm in Marvel Rivals

It's vital to get used to everaging her stance-switching mechanics to adapt to the flow of battle. Start fights by activating Tornado Mode to grant your team a movement speed boost as they engage. Once your team is in position, switch to Thunder Mode to maximize your damage output and apply consistent pressure with lightning strikes.

Omega Hurricane, is crucial for turning the tide of battle. Activate it when enemies are grouped together around objectives or during choke-point fights to deal massive AoE damage and create opportunities for your teammates to follow up with their abilities. Be mindful of your positioning during the ultimate; while powerful, it leaves you vulnerable if not supported by your team.

Storm’s mobility is one of her greatest strengths: use her ability to fly indefinitely to reposition frequently and avoid direct lines of sight from hitscan heroes like Hela or Punisher. Ambush enemies from above or flank them using off-angles to make yourself harder to target.

Storm Lore in Marvel Rivals

Very few Mutants had the honor of serving on both the Quiet Council of Krakoa and the Great Ring of Arakko simultaneously. Ororo Munroe was one, and she had long looked forward to the day when the two sentient islands might be reunited. She had not, however, counted on it happening quite like this. , It had begun without her even knowing, while she was walking along the coral shoals that, together with a great oceanic lagoon, separated Arakko from the great red desert of Mars. The tiny whirls and eddies in time grew almost instantly into a great wave of disruption. Ordinarily, Storm was hypersensitive to tiny changes in the atmosphere around her, due to the nature of her Mutant powers, but she had been preoccupied with the next challenge to her seat on the Great Ring, and let that preoccupation distract her from her immediate sensory environment. Now aware that something was happening before she understood what, her pulse quickened, then slowed again to a thud. Raindrops slowed, hung still in the air, then hurtled again toward the ground, each one at a different speed. Clouds tore across the sky, cleared, then rebuilt themselves into great black walls, all in seconds — behind them the sky inverting its normal uni...Read Storm's full Marvel Rivals lore
