Hela is a mid-to-long-range duelist in Marvel Rivals, specializing in high burst damage, crowd control, and mobility. Her primary role is to pressure enemies by eliminating key targets like strategists or squishy duelists while disrupting team fights with her area-of-effect abilities. Hela's Nightsword Thorn, her hitscan primary fire, allows her to deal consistent single-target damage, while her Piercing Night secondary fire adds explosive AoE potential. Her passive ability, Nastrond Crowstorm, generates explosive crows upon defeating enemies, further amplifying her damage output in clustered fights.

Hela thrives in team compositions that protect her while she operates from a safe distance. She pairs well with vanguards like Groot or Captain America, who can shield her from aggressive flankers, and strategists like Scarlet Witch, who can heal her as she dishes out damage. Her ultimate ability, Rain of Crows, allows her to soar into the air and unleash devastating AoE attacks, making her a significant threat during objective control or team fights. However, Hela's low health pool and reliance on precision make her vulnerable to melee duelists like Spider-Man or Black Panther, requiring careful positioning and map awareness to maximize her impact.

How to play Hela in Marvel Rivals

Hela's mobility tool, Astral Flock, transforms her into a Nastrond Crow, allowing her to glide across the battlefield. Use this ability to reposition during fights, escape dangerous situations, or reach high ground for better vantage points. Be mindful of its cooldown and avoid overcommitting without an escape plan.

Activate Goddess of Death when enemies are grouped together around objectives or during choke-point battles for maximum AoE damage. The health boost provided during the ultimate makes Hela harder to kill but does not make her invincible; stay aware of enemy threats like ranged duelists who can easily target you while airborne. Certain characters such as Doctor Strange can also use their movement and shield tools to block your assault.

Hela's passive abilities provide additional utility in fights: Nastrond Crowstorm creates explosive crows upon defeating enemies, dealing bonus AoE damage to nearby foes, while Hel's Descent allows her to fall slowly when holding the jump button, helping her dodge splash damage or reposition mid-air. Additionally, her team-up ability with Loki and Thor grants them bonus health or instant resurrection when she lands finishing blows on enemies, adding valuable support utility to her offensive kit.

Hela Lore in Marvel Rivals

From the throne atop her realm, the Queen of Hel recalled feeling the shattering of worlds, the sundering of realities as unknown forces knit them together again. Differently. She remembered venturing forth into her kingdom, only to discover that in Hel little had changed. However, Hela suspected once she traveled beyond her realm, she would see profound changes—and when she had worked enchantments to gaze upon worlds newly interwoven with the Ten Realms, her suspicions were confirmed. Mortals had done this? Remade time itself? Broken it and rewound different streams into a different braid or worlds? What power was this for men to wield? Immediately, Hela set about scheming a way to make it hers. First, she knew, she must understand Chronovium. One of her thralls, in life a great wizard-king, had brought to her a stone of a sort she had never seen before in Hel. She had paid it little mind until she grasped what the mortal Victor von Doom had done. Then, she sent the flock. Her crows scouted other realms, all returning bearing samples of Chronovium, the crystallized residue of the monstrous shocks to the space-time continuum. And yet, they all differed slightly from the version in H...Read Hela's full Marvel Rivals lore
