Spider-Man is a highly mobile duelist in Marvel Rivals, specializing in burst damage, crowd control, and flanking. His primary role is to dive into the enemy backline, disrupt their formation, and eliminate squishy targets like strategists or ranged duelists. Spider-Man's kit revolves around his Spider-Tracers, which amplify his damage when attached to enemies, and his ability to chain combos using web-based abilities like Web Cluster, Get Over Here!, and Amazing Combo. His ultimate ability, Spectacular Spin, deals massive AoE damage and stuns enemies, making him a game-changer in team fights.

Spider-Man synergizes well with strategists like Luna Snow or Rocket Raccoon, whose healing and buffs allow him to stay aggressive. However, Spider-Man's low health pool and reliance on precise execution make him vulnerable to crowd control and burst damage, and struggles against anti-melee characters like Peni Parker.

How to play Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals

Always aim to chain your abilities into combos for maximum effectiveness — starting with Web-Swing allows you to approach from unexpected angles before launching into your sequence of attacks.

Positioning and the element of surprise are critical for Spider-Man due to his low durability. Use Web-Swing not only for engaging but also as an escape tool when overwhelmed by enemy fire. Combine it with his passive abilities, such as Wall Crawl and Thwip and Flip, to navigate the battlefield efficiently and surprise opponents from high ground or behind cover.

Activate Spectacular Spin when enemies are grouped together around objectives or during chaotic team fights — it stuns multiple opponents while dealing significant AoE damage, creating opportunities for your team to follow up. Be mindful of its cooldown and ensure you have teammates nearby who can capitalize on the disruption it causes.

Spider-Man Lore in Marvel Rivals

Every week or so, Peter Parker swung uptown from his usual haunts to the Manhattan side of the Queensboro Bridge, looking across toward home. And every week, there was no way to get there. Too many vampires patrolling the bridge, and other horrific flying monsters over it. Dracula had Manhattan all to himself, and he wasn't letting any of his human "playthings" escape. Still Peter came by to look, wishing he could talk to Aunt May. Every Wednesday. That's when he missed Aunt May the most, because ever since he'd moved out of her house, he'd always tried to get back to see her for lunch on Wednesdays. Today, he was staying a little farther away from the bridge, watching it from the Midtown Tunnel's ventilation tower, a mile downstream past the UN headquarters. It was a quiet place for contemplation, since the huge fans were no longer running. He had cased the area for vampires before letting himself have his weekly moment of regret and longing, for a world before the Timestream Entanglement, before the vampires had taken over New York, before he had lost track of the days since he'd seen the sun. Gazing at the bridge under the dead eye of Dracula's moon, lost in thought, Peter was thinking about two th...Read Spider-Man's full Marvel Rivals lore
