His primary role is to eliminate priority targets like strategists or squishy duelists and control the battlefield with precision. Hawkeye's kit rewards players with excellent aim, as his Piercing Arrow can deal devastating damage when fully charged, especially with headshots. His Hypersonic Arrow is particularly effective for knocking airborne enemies like Storm or Iron Man out of the sky, countering their mobility advantage.
Hawkeye thrives in team compositions that protect him while he operates from the backline. Heroes like Captain America or Groot can shield him from aggressive flankers, while strategists like Black Widow synergize with his Supersensory Vision team-up ability, which allows her to see and damage enemy afterimages. However, Hawkeye's low health and lack of strong mobility make him vulnerable to dive-heavy heroes like Spider-Man, Venom, or Wolverine, requiring careful positioning and map awareness to stay alive.
How to play Hawkeye in Marvel Rivals
Stay at a safe distance from the fight and use Piercing Arrow to poke enemies from afar. Fully charge your shots whenever possible to maximize damage, especially against high-priority targets like strategists or duelists with low health. Use Blast Arrow for area-of-effect damage when enemies are grouped together, such as during objective fights or choke-point battles.
Hypersonic Arrow is a key tool for disrupting flying heroes or knocking enemies off elevated positions. Time this ability carefully to counter airborne threats or deny enemies advantageous terrain. When under pressure from melee attackers, rely on Crescent Slash, which deflects projectiles and knocks back nearby enemies, giving you space to reposition. Combine this with Skyward Leap, which allows you to double-jump to safety or reach high ground for better sniping opportunities.
Hawkeye's ultimate ability, Hunter's Sight, highlights enemy afterimages for 10 seconds, allowing you to track their movements and deal amplified damage. Use it during pivotal moments in team fights or when chasing down elusive targets. If paired with Black Widow, activate your shared Supersensory Vision team-up ability to enable her to also see afterimages, creating a deadly sniper duo capable of wiping out enemies before they can react.
