Mantis is a strategist in Marvel Rivals, specializing in healing, utility, and damage boosts. Her primary role is to keep her team alive with her powerful healing abilities while enhancing their offensive potential through buffs. Mantis excels at sustaining her team during extended fights with abilities like Healing Flower and Soul Resurgence, and her crowd-control tool, Spore Slumber, allows her to disable key threats. Her unique mechanics, such as consuming Life Orbs to power her abilities, make her a cornerstone of any well-rounded team.

Mantis synergizes well with high-damage duelists like Scarlet Witch or Star-Lord, as her Allied Inspiration ability amplifies their damage output. However, Mantis is fragile and lacks strong mobility, making her vulnerable to flankers like Spider-Man or Magik. Careful positioning and awareness are critical for maximizing her impact.

How to play Mantis in Marvel Rivals

Mantis's primary attack, Life Energy Blast, is a projectile that restores a Life Orb on critical hits. Aim for headshots whenever possible to generate more Life Orbs, as these are essential for using your abilities. Balance your use of Life Orbs between healing with Healing Flower and boosting damage with Allied Inspiration: prioritize healing during defensive engagements and damage buffs when your team is pushing offensively.

Timing your ultimate ability, Soul Resurgence, is critical for turning the tide of battle. Activate it during intense team fights or objective contests to provide healing over time and bonus health to nearby allies while granting them a movement speed boost. This ability allows your team to sustain through heavy damage and push forward aggressively.

Also, be sure to amplify your own damage with Natural Anger as much as possible — at high level Mantis should be played very aggressively, combining her high damage with faster Life Orb regeneration.

Mantis Lore in Marvel Rivals

The Collector found her in his Museum and asked her where she had come from. Mantis did not know. One moment she had been with her fellow Guardians and the next... "Fascinating," the Collector said. "There is about to be a vacancy. I hope you last longer..." She waited for her moment as the Collector fiddled the displays in his new Theme Park. He made her a display, ready to display her to his audiences inside a glass-walled tank featured prominently in a vast hall filled with other life forms the intergalactic Master of the Universe found interesting. Many were humanoid, but the others ran the spectrum of physical shapes from globs of protoplasm to members of the Brood, their hive mind forcing a constant thrum in the back of Mantis' mind. It was tough being a telepath sometimes, especially in the presence of so many fearful minds reaching out from their cages. One of those minds was peculiar and interesting to her. Unlike the others, it was all excitement, emotions turned all the way up, like every thought it had ended in multiple exclamation points. He was full of a kind of joy that Mantis found infectious, even though she was held prisoner in a psychotic museum in deep...Read Mantis's full Marvel Rivals lore
